For Rice
- 2 cups rice
- 3-4 cloves
- 1-1.5 inch Cinamon stick
- 1-1.5 tbsp cumin
- 1-2 star anise
- 2-3 green cardamom
- 1-2 bay leaf
- 50-80 ML milk
- Saffron (few strands)
- Salt to taste
- 1-1.5 tbsp of ghee
- 3 cups of water
- Coriander leaves
For Gravy
- ½ kg chicken
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1-3 cloves
- Green coriander
- Mint leaves
- 1tsp food color
- 2-3 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1-2 medium-sized onions
- 1tbsp coriander powder
- 1tsp chilli powder
- 10-15 cashews
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Process for making Nawabi Chicken Biryani Recipe
- Wash and soak ½ kilogram of rice in water for one to two hours.
- Next, add 1-2 cloves, ½ tsp cumin, 1–2 star anise, 1–2 curry leaves, and salt to taste, boiling until well combined.
- After that, strain it and set it aside.
- Meanwhile, Soak the saffron in warm milk in a small cup to extract the color.
- Cut the cleaned chicken into smaller pieces. Marinate the chicken pieces in a mixture of salt, turmeric, and ginger-garlic paste for half an hour.
