  1. Boil the rice first, and Before boiling it for Biryani at home, give it a good rinse and let it sit for half an hour. Bring water to a boil in a big saucepan, add salt, and cook rice until it’s done, around 70 to 80 percent through. After draining the water, we will use this partially cooked rice to make our Biryani.
  2. Now get ready to make lahori chargha; Combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powder to marinate whole chicken pieces for Lahori chargha. After that, deep fry or grill until golden and crispy. For a delightful presentation, serve with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
  3. Making the gravy comes next. Heat the oil and sauté the onion till it turns golden brown for the gravy. Next, thoroughly mix the crushed coriander, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, and biryani masala. Cook the tomatoes until they become soft after adding them. Remove this gravy from the pan.
  4. We’re going to start layering now. We’ll start by layering boiled rice into a pot.
  5. And the second layer of gravy we made will be added after that.
  6. Next, we’ll cover it with one more layer of cooked rice.
  7. After that, we’ll sprinkle the rice with yellow food coloring or saffron diluted with water to add color.
  8. The roasted chicken will now be placed on top, and for the next 20 minutes, the lid will be closed, and it will simmer in steam on low heat.
