- One kilogram of chicken pieces

- Food coloring in orange (a pinch)
- Half a cup of oil
- Warm coal fragments 1-2

For preparing the Boiled Rice:
- One tablespoon cumin seeds
- 2 & 1/2 cups of already soaked rice
- 2 to 3 star anise

- Cardamom green, 4-5
- Star anise 1–2
- One or two cinnamon sticks
- Two dark cardamoms
- One tablespoon of cumin seeds
- One cup of sliced onions
- One cup of sliced tomatoes

- One tablespoon red chili powder
- One tablespoon of masala tikka
- 1 tablespoon powdered coriander
- One tablespoon of salt

Prepare chicken tikka:
Firstly, place the chicken pieces and yogurt in a bowl. Mix yogurt, tikka masala, orange food coloring, ginger-garlic paste, and leave to marinate for 30 minutes. Cook the marinated chicken for four to five minutes in hot oil in a pan. After that, cook it covered until it’s done. Put some hot coals inside of it. For a minute or two, drizzle oil and smoke. Put aside.
Boil the rice:
Fill a pot with water, cumin seeds, salt, star anise, and green cardamom. Pour the soaked rice into it once it begins to boil. Cook until about 80% done. After straining, set aside.
